Taking a stand against domestic violence
As the world marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (25 November), SAT-7 is a catalyst for change in the Middle East and North Africa. SAT-7 beams children’s voices of love to their peers
As we celebrate World Television Day (21 November), Christian broadcaster SAT-7 KIDS demonstrates the medium’s continued ability to transform children’s lives. The channel is a powerful platform for teenage role-model presenters – such as new addition Markus Kashouh, a popular YouTuber – who encourage their peers with a message of hope and support.

Iraq’s churches cry out
While Iraqi demonstrators have been calling out to be heard by their rulers in some of the largest protests since the fall of Saddam, SAT-7 viewers heard that churches in Iraq are crying out to God for their nation.

Championing children’s rights in the Middle East
As today is Universal Children’s Day and the 30th anniversary of the Convention of the Rights of the Child, Christian broadcaster SAT-7 KIDS is championing for children. In a region where childhoods are often cut short, year-round the channel raises awareness of children’s rights among its young viewers, their parents, and wider society in the Middle East and North Africa.

Persian children learn about love and hope through SAT-7
In 2005, an Iranian animated series for children promoted suicide attacks. Today, less than one percent of programs on Iranian State television are for children. In response, SAT-7 is leading the way in producing much-needed programs for Persian-speaking children with positive role models and messages.

Words of encouragement from Algerian believers
SAT-7 CEO, Rita El-Mounayer shares words of encouragement from Algerian believers. Thirteen church buildings in Algeria have now been forced closed, but the living church continues to stand strong in Christ. “The closure of the churches has given us the opportunity to speak to more people about the church and life of Jesus”.

Algeria – “You can seal our churches but not our hearts”
“You can seal our churches but you can’t seal our hearts” is the cry from Algeria as churches are being sealed shut despite Article 42 of the Algerian Constitution guaranteeing its citizens freedom to worship and the freedom to meet for a service. The 15 October closure of the largest of these – the 1,200-member Full Gospel Church of Tizi Ouzou (EPPETO) – has also halted live television broadcasts of the weekly services by Christian broadcaster SAT-7.
