Lebanon Crisis

Lebanon is experiencing its worst violence in almost 20 years as the Holy Land conflict continues to escalate. Lebanon, a small and densely populated nation, is home to diverse religious and ethnic groups. The unrest is impacting everyone, and there are growing fears that the conflict could stir-up sectarian tensions within the country.

SAT-7’s Response

SAT-7's studio in Beirut is continuing to operate, producing and broadcasting programs that offer comfort and support to the country's shaken people, give them a voice, and shine the light of Christ into the darkest of situations. The studio is only a few kilometres away from the sites of frequent airstrikes on the city.

As a mother and a full-time employee at SAT-7, Marianne recounts her experiences during the first days of tension after the conflict in the Holy Land reached Beirut. She shares how, during this time, “war felt like it was right on the doorstep, and the roar of fighter planes overhead filled me with fear.” Despite the chaos, Marianne delivers a powerful message of hope: “Our true hope lies in the promise of being with Him forever, where there will be no more tears and no more pain.” Her story serves as a testament to faith and resilience in the face of adversity.
